Fusing together alt rock, post-punk, indie and hardcore Velourias have an unforgettable energy and sound. The rockers have solidified their place as an unmissable band in the Irish alt rock scene. 'Taxidermist' comes in with upbeat alt rock guitars and drums but there's a sense that something isn't quite right, like the scene in a TV show before it all starts to go wrong. The foreboding atmosphere is heightened by the raw almost grungy energy of the track. This is a fierce one that I think has a soft enough melody for people who like things a bit calmer, while also having the rough rawness of a heavy track.
