P.O.D - OUTBREAK
P.O.D enter a zombie apocalypse with Norma Jeans Cory Brandan on new single 'OUTBREAK'.
P.O.D drop their first original material since 2024, new single 'OUTBREAK', which features Norma Jean vocalist Cory Brandan. P.O.D are going full momentum as they head into 35 years of P.O.D. This new single is easily one the bands heaviest songs to date and the zombie apoclypse is perfectly fitting for the Halloween season.
"As avid fans of zombie apocalypse, video games, and movies, it seemed only fitting to compose a song about this topic. The song delicately straddles the line between nonfiction and fiction. It's fun yet hard-hitting, bridging the gap between what's real and what's not." - (Marcos Curiel, Guitar, P.O.D)
A warning message and the ring of a guitar welcome you into the track and the world P.O.D have created where something has broken out. The suspense builds before we are met with a couple of screams and then the signature P.O.D vocal. This is simultaenously a track that carries the weight of a heavy track while also being a little bit lighter on the top allowing for a bit of fun. The chorus especially leans into the heaviness and the ring of the screams "Outbreak" that come throughout are what really hooked me on this track, it's P.O.D but it's also so much more.
