Black Coast have released their raw new single 'Spiral'. Having earned a reputation as a must-see live act in the heavy genre, Black Coast have become one of the most exciting alt metal bands around right now. The acts 2023 self-titled EP even saw recognition from the likes of Metal Hammer, KNOTFEST, Kerrang! and more! This new track comes complete with a raw energy and an atmosphere that throws it back to nu metal and other heavier artists around in the early 2000's.
"'Spiral' is about when I go through daily battles of severe overthinking. It's the conversations I'm having with myself from both sides. The good, bad and the things that don't make any sense at all. It's difficult to find a way out of this train of thought and it always has been for me. 'Spiral' is born from this frustration of just not being able to function or feel like a human being sometimes. 'Spiral' is like an explosion of raw emotion and everything that raw modern alt metal is. Verses that'll have you needing to headbang along and a more melodic chorus that reminds me of artists like Boston Manor. This is a very exciting song and a very exciting band. 'Spiral' also includes a little moment right before the breakdown that seems to give a nod to nu metal bands of the 2000's. This one really includes everything you could want in an alt metal track and that's exactly why it's going straight on my playlist!
