Earlier this month Suffolk, singer-songwriter Leon O'Leary released their atmospheric new single 'Got This Love For You'.

Leon O'Leary's new track 'Got This Love For You' features Gyuri Baek and gives listeners a beautifully atmospheric love song. Influenced by the likes of Ben Howard, Bruce Springsteen, The War On Drugs and Hozier, O'Leary creates intricate indie-folk songs that are bound to invoke emotions. O'Leary is becoming a rising artist in the scene, even gaining a BBC Introducing Easts Artist to watch in 2022 title. 'Got This Love For You' is a warm and vibrant track that could resonate with that feeling of truly loving someone. The track which is taken from Leon O'Leary's upcoming EP is a powerful and euphoric piece. 'Got This Love For You' also has this gorgeous vocal melody which is enhanced by Gyuri Baek's part that she sings in Korean.
"I first started coming up with the lyrics for the song whilst staying with my girlfriend in Manchester, after opening up to her about my relationship anxiety and the occasional paranoia/trust issues I was dealing with - which was weighing me down. So, I wanted to write a song about it. I went back home and started messing with a distorted, delay saturated drum loop using Logic's stock drums and began coming up with guitar riff. I then got in touch with Gyuri who was introduced to me by my girlfriend as a friend and after hearing some of her music I instantly wanted to collab with her. I thought blending my Irish and English influences with Gyuri's Korean would make for a really interesting feel. One night we were all talking about the songs meaning and how Gyuri resonated with it. She began writing her part in Korean and recorded her vocals in London with the rest being finished here at home in my bedroom." - (Leon O'Leary)
I personally am a big fan of this song, and I think 'Got This Love For You', is my favourite of O'Leary's releases. If this song is anything to go by then I am super excited to hear what's to come from the full EP.
