King Cujo are back after 18 years with their brand new, hard rockin' single 'Down Here'. Out October 28th.
After 18 years British trio King Cujo are back with lead single from their upcoming album. 'Down Here' it's the first track we have heard from these guys in a long time and it doesn't disappoint. King Cujo was once a staple in the rock scene. The mid to late 2000's saw them attain many accomplishments including, winning the Virgin Radio Unsigned Competition, ITV London Tonight Unsigned Competition and playing the O2 Wireless Festival. King Cujo has played with artists such as Jet, Razorlight and The Subways and the group were also the face of Channel4Music when they released their website music platform. This was all until 2000 when the band tragically lost original member James Norton and following this disbanded in 2007 after playing as a three-piece for seven years. 'Down Here' is a great return for the band. Lyrically taking aim at authority and using religious imagery this song does not hold back.
"'Down Here' was written after lockdown #1 after a series of jams the band had after re-forming. A mix of lockdown, Brexit, middle age and anger at the UK Government culminated in some of the band's most vitriolic, anxiety-induced songs" - (King Cujo)
'Down Here' comes rolling in with this smooth, modern hard rock energy that will instantly have you captivated by what King Cujo are delivering. Complete with a scream-along chorus and verses that build you up, 'Down Here' is honestly a very cool song and one I am happy I have got to check out. If you're looking for your next rock n roll band to fall in love with King Cujo could very easily be it. I personally am definitely a fan and can't wait for the album 'Lost Inside The Landfill' when it is released but for now 'Down Here' which is out on the 28th will do.
