Glasgow's Sixth Wonder venture further into new territory with their bold track 'Ropeburn'.

Sixth Wonder release their second offering 'Ropeburn' from upcoming debut EP 'Prologue', which is set for release on the 2nd of July. Formed back in 2021 as a University project Sixth Wonder continue to go from strength to strength with each and every release, proving that they are one of the most inventive and exciting rising bands at this time. They're self coined 'djent-pop' sound sets them apart from other players on the field and their captivating uniqueness has seen them gaining loyal fans from the very beginning. Charging on from the success of previous single 'Thorn', which was named BBC Radio 1 Rock Track of the Week, Sixth Wonder continue to push the boundaries of their sound with 'Ropeburn'.
"'Ropeburn' expands upon it's predecessor 'Thorn's' story, moving into the world of contemplation. The binary nature of the song serves as musical whiplash, mimicking the back-and-forth of uncertainty. It tells the story of questioning yourself because of another person's cruelty and the guilt of putting others through it simultaneously." - (Rebekah Kirk, Vocalist, Sixth Wonder)
The eerie intro to 'Ropeburn' draws listeners in with it's intense and a slightly unsettling tone, before it explodes with a ferociousness that's become a staple in Sixth Wonders sound. The moody guitar tone is backed up by the continuous hammering drums while vocalist Rebekah Kirk takes things up a notch, the twisted yet haunting melody is only made more captivating by the gut-punching screams that follow. This one definitely feels like their most experimental track to date but my god it works. Every aspect of this track comes together perfectly to create something that will stand the test of time.
