Exciting up and coming alt-metal group Sixth Wonder have released their colossal new track 'Thorn'.

Sixth Wonder are back with their first release since 2024's stand-alone 'Escalate', the mighty 'Thorn' is now yours to consume. From Glasgow, Scotland, Sixth Wonder are one of the most exciting new forces in the modern metal world. The bands where "djent-pop" meets cinematic fantasy style has rapidly gained them fans across the world. Forming back in 2021 as a University project the quartet have become so much more than that, combining their own ferocious spirit with sounds reminiscent of the likes of Spiritbox or Poppy, Sixth Wonder are proving why they're you're new favourite band. New single 'Thorn' may have taken a while to be brought to life due to tricky tracking issues and severe snow around their studio, which delayed the production, but the track which is centered around betrayal and the processing of emotions that comes alongside that is well worth the wait.

"'Thorn' is about coming to the realisation that you are fighting against someone you thought was on your side. It delves into the confusion of why they have chosen to betray you and reaches the destination of bitter acceptance, that they were never truly behind you from the beginning." - (Sixth Wonder)

Opening with a dark atmosphere 'Thorn' pulls you in with a sort of unsettling tone before the vocals rip through and it comes to life. Taking on a melodic yet fierce personality Sixth Wonder are doing what they do best with this new single, combining harsh heavy modern metal with hypnotic soaring moments, the vocals always sitting in the forefront driving the story. Complete with everything you could want including a breakdown that smacks you in the face Sixth Wonder are demonstrating exactly why they deserve your attention. 'Thorn' ends with a piano moment that drifts out to it's completion, leaving the feeling that there is more to come.
