RXPTRS - In Another Life
RXPTRS strip back with single 'In Another Life', which all profits from go to the mental health project 'For Younger You'.
RXPTRS have announced their upcoming EP 'TALES OF ILL REPUTE' out November 20th and release single 'In Another Life' which sees all profits go to the mental health project 'For Younger You'. The South West noise makers have been making their mark on the new wave of rock scene within the UK. With ferocious grit, melodic moments and an explosive show it's no wonder these guys are gaining people's attention. I personally saw them when they 'opened up' Download festival earlier in the year and can confirm they are earning every bit of attention they get. New single 'In Another Life' sees the quintet strip things back in a more raw and vulnerable way than we have ever seen them. The track was written to honour their friend Ryan who they lost to suicide and during the song the band are heard performing with a choir of Ryans friends.
"Written for a friend who took their own life. 'In Another Life' is a vulnerable, sonic pivot for RXPTRS. Set for release on World Suicide Prevention Day, all streaming profits will be donated to a mental health project close to their hearts. For Younger You tackle mental health issues with an empahsis on Suicide Awareness. As well as streaming revenue, the band have an exclusive merch line being released, all profits also going to For Younger You."
This stripped back acoustic piece feels as raw and vulnerable as you can expect it to, showing off a new level to the band as a whole but specifically the vocal range of frontman Simon Roach. While the track is strong on emotions it also holds a pretty element especially when the vocal choir comes to life allowing the track to sweep over the listener giving them everything. This is an important single for the band and friends and one that also stands out as a pivotal moment in their sound.
