Pray Silence - Liminalland
Edinburgh's Pray Silence release their third single 'Liminalland'.
Pray Silence seem to strip it back a bit with their new storytelling focussed track 'Liminalland'. Creating their own blend of intricate rock music Edinburgh's Pray Silence now have three singles under their belt and out in the world. The act are known for their hige riffs, anthemic choruses and biting, sardonic lyricism. New track 'Liminalland' however feels more stripped back than their previous two releases. 'Liminalland' has a nice vibe about it, while I probably prefer the other two releases this one still has some very cool elements and shows off the duo's intricate writing style. I have to say this song in a way reminds me of acts like R.E.M rather than more modern rock acts that Pray Silence would normally be compared to. The groovy chilled out bass line that runs through almost the whole song seems to be the power behind it while the vocals sweep over the top delivering the story. In a way this song reminds me of sitting round the campfire telling a spooky story with friends, but with a rock bite. Pray Silence are also busy at the moment with rehearsals for their first ever live show, this will be announced soon so keep your eyes on their socials!
