Plastersun have released their high-octane new single 'Delusions of Grandeur'. Formed in Southampton during lockdown but officially bursting onto the scene in 2025, Plastersun are spurred by the collective sentiment to create something exciting and meaningful. Combining sounds from the 70's right through to modern day the post-punk five-piece have been making a name for themselves with their impactful live shows and energy. New single 'Delusions of Grandeur' was written in the confusion of a post gig comedown.

"The song was written in the confusing transition from on stage to off! It lives in the jarring juxtaposition between the energy of playing a show and the crash that follows. The chorus line "the world is strange" comes from the frustrated denial that showing off is restricted to performing." - (Plastersun)

With brash conversational vocals and a thumping bassline that controls the track this new single tells it's story with modern pulsating beats. The modern post-punk sounds with nods to the past create something that'll have you hooked almost immediately. While almost capturing the feeling of being in a small dirty venue Plastersun have created something that's as catchy as it is interesting.

The song is accompanied by a visualiser which features inflatable mascot Sir Ian Flate, a privileged, stuck-up fictitious promoter with a balloon for a head who left behind his life of wealth to become a full-time helium addict and music promoter in Camden.
