Rising melodic metal act Phoenix Lake have released their new single 'Bells of Variel'.

Phoenix Lake release roaring new single 'Bells of Variel' as well as announcing their long-awaited debut LP 'Seraphina - The Fall From Eden'. Following on from their performance at Bloodstock Open Air UK, the melodic metallers release their massive new single which features Tristan Hill from AZAZEL.
"'Bells of Variel' is track eight on the album, and it captures the darkest chapter in the story. Variel - the Angel of Death appears, not as a guide, but as a punishment. He takes Michael, Seraphina's lover, in a final act of heartbreak - fueled vengeance. It's a moment defined by grief, rage, and the fallout of unrequited love." - (Phoenix Lake)
This is an intense release that captures the feelings of the characters. It's a powerful piece that's hard-hitting and emotional. It would feel wrong not to compare the sound to Within Temptation as they have very similar melodic and striking vocals, yet Phoenix Lake instrumentally feel more like they're reaching straight from a fantasy land beckoning you to witness the story. If you're a fan of this style of metal I have no doubt you will like this song and band, for me this isn't a go to style to listen to but Phoenix Lake have impressed me and I will be returning.
