Krooked Tongue deliver an addictive dose of nostalgia with their brand new single 'You Don't Need A Sun Tan'. Bursting onto the scene back in 2022 with their debut album 'No Vacancy Hotel', Krooked Tongue have been capturing the ears of alt music lovers all over the globe. Having played festival slots at Icebreaker, Dot to Dot, The Godney Gathering, Estonia's Tallinn Music Week and Burn It Down, as well as sharing stages with artists like False Heads, Virgin Mary's, Phoxjaw, The Soap Girls and more, the rising alt rockers are steadily making a name for themselves. Krooked Tongue are gearing up to release their debut album early next year, the albums previous singles 'Marigold', 'Let 'Em Loose', 'Ember Mile', and 'Nothing Ever Grows' saw support from Apple editorials 'Breaking Hard Rock' and 'New In Rock', as well as publications like New Noise Magazine, HEAVY Magazine, CLOUT, Fab UK and Total Rock. Single 'Nothing Ever Grows' was even used throughout the Bivol vs Beterbiev boxing fight on DAZN Sports. 'You Don't Need A Sun Tan' is a summery nostalgic feeling track that lyrically talks of going back home and the contradicting feelings that come from moving away.

"The idea behind 'You Don't Need A Sun Tan' came about after visiting the town I grew up in one summer weekend. Meeting up with your old mates, getting leathered at the pub, and realising that everything is almost exactly how it was when you left. Sure, there's a new wave of people, the next generation of Weatherspoon's patriots but nothing ever really changes and it's a double edged sword. It's a reminder of why you left to begin with, to see the world, get out of the bubble and head to the city. But there's also a sense of belonging, being back with 'your' people. A certain comfortability that comes with heading back to the old stomping ground. It's an ode to that message, not one that's positive or negative, just merely an observation. 'You Don't Need A Sun Tan' is an explosion of bright and infectious energy. The feel-good track makes for a perfect summer single, and leans into a radio rock sound that takes a slight step away from Krooked Tongue's normal super fuzzy sound. The title lyric 'You don't need a sun tan' rings through the chorus over the bright almost indie rock guitars. This lively track shows yet another side to Krooked Tongue's big alt rock sound further proving that they belong on your playlists.
