Alt noise makers Fog Bandits ask how far would you go for fame or success with new single 'This Coven'.

Ahead of their debut EP, which is set for release on the 18th of July, Fog Bandits have dropped new single 'This Coven'. The four-piece from Glasgow bring a unique in-your-face sound that never shows any signs of slowing down. Their non-stop energy has seen them play support slots for the likes of L.S Dunes, VUKOVI and The Pale White. The bands own brand of loud alternative punk has also seen then have radio play across the UK, notably having multiple plays on BBC Introducing. 'This Coven' acts like a little short story taking inspiration from the crazy conspiracies of what celebrities have done to achieve their fame.
"This song frames itself as a recorded conversation between a celebrity and their unusual interviewer. By the time they realise who they are speaking to, it's too late." - (Fog Bandits)
'This Coven' is a track to sink your teeth into, coming across slightly like a descent into madness, it begins with an intense energy but by the end it reaches a hauntingly soft outro. Complete with the anthemic chorus and crunchy riffs that I would recognise Fog Bandits for, it seems that with every release recently the Glasgow lads are taking their signature sound and perfecting it more and more. 'This Coven' has just enough bite to it to appease punk fans while also being melodic enough that it could be enjoyed by casual alternative music listeners too. I am really enjoying this new release and I personally cannot wait for the EP to drop in July.
