Krooked Tongue have released their new nostalgia drenched single 'Dog Days'.

Krooked Tongue have released their next single to be taken from their upcoming debut album which will be available early 2026. This is a band who after bursting onto the scene back in 2022 have made a big impact on the rock music scene. With notable performances including their biggest support tour to date in 2024 supporting Kid Brunswick on his final 'Dead Forever' UK tour. The bands previous singles to come from their upcoming album have already seen a multitude of success, including 'Nothing Ever Grows' being used throughout Bivol vs Beterbiev boxing fight on DAZN Sports, and 'Let 'Em Loose' was used to soundtrack Progress Wrestling's live show at London's Electric Ballroom.
Brand new single 'Dog Days' sees the Bristol trio perfectly encapsulate the urgent, all encompassing feelings of teenage love.
"'Dog Days is a love song that lingers on the lattice of a ghostly, nostalgia-drenched wedding dress. I feel like 'Dog Days' is a tune that perfectly sums up that feeling of teenage love; There's a chaotic beauty in teenage love. It's everything and nothing all at once. We trick ourselves into thinking that this moment, right now, is all there will ever be. Blinded by the vapour of adoration. Hindsight is everything now, but the innocence of youth is everything at the time. We attach importance to things that seem so trivial now but in the moment, are our whole life. Those years are ones where we find ourselves, who we are, and those first relationships we have our cornerstones throughout the rest of our lives. Nobody forgets their first love, that's for damn sure. There's a nostalgia for the teen years that I think resonates with most people in their 20's and beyond. A retrospective comfort that makes us remember the weather somehow always being good. Every moment dressed in a golden hue and every moment packed with a constant stream of peers that never seemed to fade, of course, as we get older they do; friends drift apart and relationships, despite our naivety, come and go. But to have felt the full bearing of our budding emotions at that time, as if the whole world stopped for a summer just so you could live it to the maximum is a beautiful thing." - (Oli Rainsford, Vocalist, Krooked Tongue)
Absolutely dripping with nostalgia and an almost coming of age film feeling, 'Dog Days' is somewhere between filled with light and emotionally charged sadness. While not as obviously big rock feeling as other tracks from the trio this one takes a little bit of a back seat allowing the story to be told in a natural feeling way. You can get the sense of longing for a time that's past within the charming vocal melody, while the guitars strum away with their own yearning. The large tone within this one steps away from the fuzz heavy tones commonly found on a Krooked Tongue tracks and leans more into something you would find on an early days Killers album.
