Hell Hotel delve into the painful feelings of realising your relationship is harmful in new single 'promises.' The emo/alt rock duo have been taking the UK alternative scene by storm. With a sound that fuses nostalgic elements from bands like The Used, Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance with modern elements of bands like Holding Absence they've manufactured something that is just as nostalgic as it is current. Firmly rooted in the emotional chaos of music from the 2000's the duo have found a loyal following among those who are seeking a more vulnerable edge to modern heavy music. 'promises.' is potentially Hell Hotel's most honest and unfiltered track to date and is definitely one they should be proud of.

"'promises.' is collectively our favourite Hell Hotel song to date. It truly captures all the elements we take inspiration from such as early 2000's emo and contemporary post-hardcore, blends it all up, and wraps it neatly into the most heartbreaking moment in our discography. 'Nightmares are dreams too' is a concept that truly underpins all the music we've released so far this year - you can't have the light without the darkness." - (Tom Maxfield, Hell Hotel)

"This song is where I bare my soul more than ever before, laying it all on the line and letting my heart speak without filter or fear. It holds a kind of raw, unfiltered emotion that we're both deeply proud of. I hope it invites listeners to sit with their feelings, to explore the depths of who they are, and to reflect on how far they've come." - (Demi Jay, Hell Hotel)

Easily the most heartbreaking song that Hell Hotel have released to date, the emotional atmosphere created within this one sees the bands alternative sound lean in a slightly softer direction but it still manages to hit like a punch in the face. Taking a step back in the verses allows the chorus to fully crash into life, I actually think this could be the bands biggest chorus yet and that's largely complimented by the raw vulnerability of the vocal. It may be sad, reflective, a little dark but 'promises.' is still packed with fresh gritty alternative rock sounds and Hell Hotels signature energy.
