Head Cloud release lead single 'Imposter' from upcoming EP out next year.
Head Cloud have announced their new EP 'Complex Dreams' which is set for release 15th January 2027. You can watch the video for and listen to lead single 'Imposter' now! In 2021 Head Cloud burst into the alt scene and have been making their stamp on it ever since. The group have previously been seen supporting acts like Split Chain and Mouth Culture and 2026 has even more shows that you can see them at. New single 'Imposter' sees Head Cloud tackle the topic of imposter syndrome head-on.
"'Imposter' explores imposter syndrome, self-doubt and the feeling that you're not good enough to be where you are. At its centre is the question of whether you can stop hiding behind the version of yourself you think you're supposed to be. It was the first song where we experimented heavily with shouted and screamed backing vocals, using them to intesify the frustration and anxiety behind the lyrics." - (Head Cloud)
'Imposter' builds a dark atmosphere throughout, something uncomfortable and unsettling lurks beneath but on the surface it lures you in with addictive modern almost metalcore influenced alternative sounds. This is a track that had me hooked almost immediately with its vibe and I really liked hearing this band lean into something heavier with the vocals in the chorus. Whether you give it a listen for the eerie moments, the heavy moderness, or the way it's all expertly put together, you should definitely give this new one a spin!
