Hamartia - Synthetica

Bristol based 'post-therapy' quartet Hamartia have unveiled their new single 'Synthetica'.

ree

Hamartia have released their most lyrically positive and self-affirming single in recent years 'Synthetica'. The quartet who over the past year have gained a dedicated following continue deeper into their own -heart-on-sleeve brand of 'trauma dumping'.

"It came from pure frustration. I'm tired of how the responsibility always falls on women to call out misogyny and sexism, and to somehow be the ones expected to fix systemic issues. It's about the men who wear feminism like a costume, rehearsing all the right lines while quietly dismantling the outspoken women around them who pose a threat to their fictional peace." - (Sophie Smith, Vocalist, Hamartia)

Possibly my favourite release ever from Hamartia 'Synthetica' combines big aggressive riffs with an even bigger sweet tasting chorus. The bands sound seems to have seen a lot of growth since their last release earlier in the year and this one with it's massive alt energy sounds great. If you're looking for a new alternative band to check out give Hamartia's 'Synthetica' a spin.
