Forth aims for a summer hit, with follow up single, 'Play with Me'.
The second single from Forth's upcoming third album has been released. The song sees the band present a more reggae inspired track compared to their normal hard rock. 'Play with Me' even includes steel drums and a saxophone. With this song the band welcomes the listener to throwaway their stresses and join them on an island of worry-free bliss. The hard rock and grunge band were formed back in 2010 by Canadian front man Brian Forth and Finnish rockers; Tim Norrogrann (lead guitar), Kari Storckovius (drums) and Mikael Soderback (bass). Their first album 'Road Stories' debuted in 2014 and the first single 'Up Up Away' got to #2 on the Finnish ITunes rock charts while the second single 'Fairytale Princess' lasted a month in the top 5 on YLE Toppen Charts. After signing with Secret Entertainment Forth released their sophomore album 'Captivity' in March of 2019. Three tracks from this went straight to the top of indie charts in Finland, US, Spain and Canada. The song 'Higher Ground' was #1 on the UK Radio Indie Alliance (Monies NewMusic Chart).
With all of the changes in the music industry lately it's hard for up-and-coming artists to monetize their music, especially with gigging being restricted which is a main source of income. Forth have recorded an alternative version of 'Play with Me' which will be released simultaneously by an international company as part of their radio and TV marketing campaign, this will begin in Sweden. Combining the single release with a commercial partnership is a new way for artists to get their music out there and to be able to make an income from their art. Forth's third album is scheduled for release in late Summer of 2021.
