Rising post-hardcore act FieldHockey release their new single 'A Career As An Arsonist'.
FieldHockey admit there's nothing wrong with admiting you need help on new single 'A Career As An Arsonist'. Hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, the group who formed in 2019 have became a staple of the Southeast live circuit, sharing stages with the likes of The Funeral Portrait, Hot Mulligan, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and State Champs. With an array of releases already under their belt they continue their post-hardcore, pop-punk tinged sound with new single 'A Career As An Arsonist'.
"The song is about being at a point so low and refusing anything from anybody until there's no other option. There's always that one person that can make it all better. And there's nothing wrong with needing a little help from time to time."
With a hint of summer that comes with any music from this genre 'A Career As An Arsonist' comes across like a fun song and the title leans in to that kind of jokey vibe. Don't get me wrong though this isn't just a bright song there's the element of heavy chugginess throughout cementing this as more of a post-hardcore piece. Listening to the single I'm not surprised these guys have become so popular in their local area as it's catchy with lyrics that would have anyone chanting along at a live show.
