After teasing fans with puzzles Evanescence have released their song "Better Without You". A track that sees the band returning to their heavier roots.
Evanescence teased fans on social media with a puzzle that they had to solve which revealed the new single titled "Better Without You". This track feels like it's taking us back to "Fallen" era Evanescence. They seemed to step away from that heavier sound for the past couple of albums but with this new song I wander if we'll see them return to their original heavier sound. "Better Without You" is the bands fourth single off of the upcoming album "The Bitter Truth". The album is set for release on the 26th of March 2021 through BMG Rights Management. This will be Evanescence's first album since their 2017 release "Synthesis".
"I can't wait for you to hear it. It's dark and heavy. It's also got moments of weird and sparse. Little bit of everything. Definitely some The Open Door vibes but not the same." (Amy Lee on new music, at a 2019 Reddit AMA)
Evanescence are:
Amy Lee: Lead Vocals, Keyboard Troy McLawhorn: Lead & Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals Jen Majura: Rhythm & Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals, Theremin Tim McCord: Bass Will Hunt: Drums
