This fun feeling kind of dance like electronic track 'The Battle' from Endless State was released last Friday and is one to check out. Guaranteed it'll put you in a good mood!
New track from Endless State will get stuck in your head and have you dancing along! Endless State is a solo project created by Gary Colbert. From Northern Ireland Colbert began Endless State in 2018 after his band Novice who had played drums with for fifteen years split up. Endless State takes a lot of inspiration from the new wave/ synth scene of the late 70's and 80's. Bands such as Depeche Mode, The Human League, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy. Endless State also takes a bit of inspiration from grunge; Nirvana, The Melvins. Endless State's album 'End of Days' was released back in June 2021 and was recorded during lockdown. After release the song 'Point of No Return' which focused on the state of the world was picked up by radio. The new track 'The Battle' in my opinion feels a bit dancier than other things I have listened to from Endless State. I actually really enjoyed the repetitive lyrical moments such as "situations more than wrong and right, if you're gonna point the finger I'm prepared to fight" which I found myself singing along with quite quickly. This definitely isn't something I would normally listen to but something about it just hooked me. It was infectious. I feel like this is one of those songs that you can't help but smile when listening to and is probably my favourite that I have heard from Endless State. As of just now work continues on the follow up album for Endless State and it is hoped to be released in early 2022. So keep an eye out for that.
