Dinosaur Pile-Up - My Way

Dinosaur Pile-Up are proving that they are more than back with their ridiculously catchy and inspiring new track 'My Way'.

Dinosaur Pile-Up continue on their path of vulnerability with new single 'My Way', which comes alongside the announcement of a UK tour and ahead of their upcoming album 'I've Felt Better'. After a few years away due to health reasons Dinosaur Pile-Up are not only back but they are making bigger waves in the music scene than ever. Struggle, vulnerability, pain, resilience and love are all things that have been felt by the band over their years and they are laying it all bare with their upcoming album, 'I've Felt Better', which is set for release on the 22nd of August, via Mascot Records. Previous single, and first release in five years, 'Bout to Lose It' saw DPU make their big comeback and the track saw support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Kerrang Radio, Kerrang Magazine, NME and many more. Now their second installment of the new era is out, and 'My Way' is ever bigger and even more inspirational than the last.

"I wrote 'My Way' because I'm going to do what I want, how I want, my way. I made peace with the fact that I'm never going to be recognised as 'cool' and I will never be in the '"what's hot" of the rock scene, and that my talents as a songwriter will seemingly never be worthy of mainstream acclaim. As a younger artist, that held some weight or value in my mind. But that's OK. I will do my thing my way because I dig what I do. Doing my thing, my way. I love 'My Way' because it's this crazy mix of an Eminem-type vibe with a big rock song that even has this kind of 'Amish farm breakdown' and hardcore breakdown in the same song. That sounds fun, right? Sign me the fuck up!!" - (Matt Bigland, Singer & Guitarist, Dinosaur Pile-Up)

'My Way' is a track that's loud and in your face while also being so addictive and inspirational. The theme of doing it your way has seen the single do rounds on social media site TikTok where creators post that explosive chorus with them doing life their way. The big rock chorus is perfect for a trend as it's catchy lyrics are bound to stay stuck in your head, while the verses have more of a punchy sound, pulling straight from the late 90's and even having that aforementioned Eminem thing going on. It really feels like Dinosaur Pile-Up are more than just back from a break they're new and reinvented, a band to really get stuck into, and if you like you're rock with a harder edge but still energetic and lyrically catchy then 'My Way' is for you.

Alongside the release of this single the rockers also announced a UK tour. This is the groups first tour since their completely sold-out run in 2019, so understandably they are buzzing to get out on the road.

"After an extended break away from touring we just can't wait to get back out on the road and play the new songs live. We're really stoked on this record and can't wait to see the fans again!" - (Matt Bigland, Singer & Guitarist, Dinosaur Pile-Up)
