Defects drop new single 'Signs' which features Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), and announce new album 'Artificial Icons' coming 16th October via Mascot Records. This new single fizzes with anger and frustration placing the listener in a war-torn setting.

"I want to write songs that matter. To make people think. People are dying. This needs to be addressed. It's about looking for meaning. Trying to find a place to belong. There's frustration, but also determination, even when the world feels like it's crumbling. I'm so excited that this one features Matt." - (Tony Maue, Vocalist, Defects)

'Signs' is possibly one of the most intense tracks to come from Defects, or at least that I've heard. The addition of Trivium frontman Matt Heafy adds an angrier element helping further the message of the song. 'Signs' is a full meal packed with chunky riffs, heavy snarls and growls and a melodic chorus that breaks through allowing the raw lyrics to shine. 'Signs' is easily my favourite track to come so far from this band and it's really exciting to see how these guys keep developing their sound to bigger and better things with each release.
