New single 'All For Nothing' from Defects sees them look inward.

Defects question everything on their new track 'All For Nothing'. Marking the third recent release from the UK metalcore act, 'All For Nothing' comes after 'Artificial Icons' and 'Heresy'. These three singles are the first pieces of work to come from Defects since their 2024 debut album 'Modern Error' and 'All For Nothing' with it's crushing riffs and raw lyrical content may be my favourite yet.
"'All For Nothing' came from a time in my life when it felt like nothing was really moving. No matter how much I was putting in, it seemed like I was stuck in the same place. I wrote it from that frustration - that exhaustion of wondering if everything I was doing was even leading anywhere." - (Tony Maue, Vocals, Defects)
This massive track is modern metalcore rooted with a big rock energy and even tinges of nu-metal nostaglia. 'All For Nothing' whips between intense savagery in the verses to big anthemic moments in the chorus. This is an unrelenting track that doesn't waste time in letting you know that Defects are here. With rougher moments that remind me of artists like Parkway Drive and the big melodic moments contain everything that makes up Defects powerful and impactful sound. If you somehow don't already have these guys on your radar then 'All For Nothing' should put them there.
