Modern metal band D-CNTR have released their newest single 'Requite'. Tapping into a hardcore sound but keeping it anthemic and something you could sing-a-long too D-CNTR have created a really great single with 'Requite'. This one focuses on self denial: the realization that the deepest barrier to love and peace isn't the world, but the inability to love yourself. Opening with an upbeat feeling and woahs to chant along with it's almost hard to believe that within seconds 'Requite' is going to become the kind of song that you're opening pits to. Yet exploding with an intense hardcore heaviness the song becomes something completely new. There's something really interesting to me happening within this one, D-CNTR somehow manage to combine this vibey light atmosphere with a brutal heaviness and while they both have their moments to shine you can feel both throughout the whole song. It's as if the song itself is literally fighting to find that inner peace that's spoken about. Overall a band I've not really listened to before but after hearing this track I can say I will be checking out more.
