Exciting newcomers Blockade have released their energetic second single 'Avarice'.
London alt-rock band Blockade have released their next explosive single 'Avarice'. Two singles released and Blockade have already secured their place as popular newcomers in the alt-rock scene. The London based group achieved over 12,000 streams on Spotify in under two months with previous and debut release 'Mess You Made'. Blockade also impressively sold out their first live show. 'Avarice' was released on the 11th of August and the energetic track is a great follow up single from the success of 'Mess You Made'. This track explores the darker side of the human psyche yet is still very upbeat. Much like the bands previous single, 'Avarice' is soulful yet loaded with hard rock. This second single explodes with energy and at the same feels warm and familiar. I really enjoy what Blockade are doing and their own brand of soulful hard rock is really captivating. It's no surprise that these guys are already gaining the popularity they are so early on, and I am lucky to have had the opportunity to discover them too. If you haven't checked out 'Avarice' yet, it is well worth a listen and maybe Blockade could be one of your new favourite bands. With their hard/modern rock inspired tracks if you like bands such as Nothing But Thieves, Silverstein, Lower Than Atlantis and Royal Blood then Blockade could be for you.
