Dutch hard rock/metal act Traversus take their sound in a new direction with the heavier 'Maybe In Another Life'.
Traversus have released their first single from their upcoming EP 'Navigate'. Combining hard rock with prog rock and metal, Traversus are a Dutch metal band that are adding their own stamp onto the heavier genre. Throughout their discography the band have a strong melodic sound that for the most part allows the guitars to take a back seat while Madelief de Groots soaring vocal carries the songs and powerful messages they put across. 'Maybe In Another Life' was the first song that Traversus wrote for their upcoming EP and the track speaks of despair, longing for change and wanting to rebuild a connection with nature. This overall heavier direction sees the four-piece dive a little more into the prog inspired side of their sound, the spirited guitars add the ammunition while the vocals are where the track truly shines. 'Maybe In Another Life' is a promising one that has me excited for the rest of Traversus's EP 'Navigate'. 'Navigate' is set for release on the 12th of September so keep your eyes peeled for that one and in the meantime check out the new single.
