THE HARA team up with As December Falls on new single 'Violence'.

THE HARA have released their next single from upcoming album 'The Fallout' which is set for release in January 2026 via Mascot Records. With their raucous genre mash-up of alternative rock, metalcore and emo THE HARA have made a name for themselves pulling support slots for the likes of Sum 41, Nothing More, Escape The Fate and Ice Nine Kills. As well as exploding over the festival circuit with performances at the likes of Download, Slam Dunk, 2000 Trees, Kendall Calling and more... New song 'Violence' which features Bethany Hunter Jiménez (As December Falls) drops ahead of As December Falls headline tour which will see THE HARA as the UK support.
"When we wrote 'Violence', we always had in mind that it would be incredible to have a strong female voice on the track to really bring out the two characters and the emotion of what the song is about and when we heard Beth (As December Falls) was interested, we knew it would be a perfect fit. Her high pop punk vocals take it to a whole new level and she absolutely killed it on both the song and the music video." - (Josh Taylor, Vocalist, THE HARA)
'Violence' is the concept of a two-way toxic relationship where neither character is the clear villain.
"It's a love story without a clear villain. It's about two people desperately trying to make something work, even though it was never meant to last. The pain, the hurt, the manipulation - they've come to mistake all of it for love. And because of that, they can't bring themselves to let go." - (Josh Taylor, Vocalist, THE HARA)
'Violence' is a crushing clearly metalcore influenced track that allows you to experience both sides to the story it tells. With lyrical moments like Taylor's “I don’t wanna leave when you’re all I’m fighting for" which is met with Jiménez's response “I thought you loved me, your perfect centerpiece. How could you say that you’d be better off without me?”. Throughout the song whether in the heavier moments or the melodic chorus you can literally feel the back and forth and the strong emotions between the characters. I have to agree that the as December Falls vocalist feels like a perfect fit for this song and it's also cool to hear her vocal in a more intense track. I feel like with their upcoming album THE HARA are definitely exploring something heavier emotionally and sonically and with each release that comes out I am truly starting to believe that 'The Fallout' may become my favourite album they have put out. 'Violence' furthers this feeling with it's chuggy moments, soaring chorus and dark tinged energy.
