Bristol rock trio Krooked Tongue have released their next single 'Blood Shark'.

Krooked Tongue give fans another taste of upcoming debut album 'I Know A Place' with single 'Blood Shark'. This is a rock trio who have been quickly gaining attention as ones to watch since the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP 'No Vacancy Hotel' in 2022. The band have been preparing listeners for their debut album with a scatter of singles coming out since last year and each and every one gets better and makes it clearer how great this highly anticipated album will be. Previous tracks 'Marigold', 'Let Em' Loose', 'Nothing Ever Grows', 'Dog Days' and 'You Don't Need A Sun Tan' have all seen support from Apple editorials including 'Breaking Hard Rock' and 'New In Rock'. In other exciting news the trio have also recently signed a publishing deal with Wipeout Music and have joined TRUST Artists live roster. New single 'Blood Shark' shows Krooked Tongue off in a new light full of vocal distortion and their signature fuzz.
"'Blood Shark' is a jumper cable to the lazy and uninspired aspects of ourselves. A fat uppercut to our excuses for why we can't, or don't do the things we want to do. Everyone experiences nodus tollens at some point in their existence where it seems the vicissitudes of life are too turbulent to navigate. The walls are closing in and there's no ladder in sight. But we often need to change to inspire the solution, taking a step back and approaching our inescapable slump from a different angle." - (Oli Rainsford, Vocalist, Krooked Tongue)
Potentially my favourite Krooked Tongue track to date 'Blood Shark' is a lively piece that doesn't shy away from telling it how it is. A little attitude is laced into the bands fuzz laden arena sized sound with this one creating something that is very fun. To me 'Blood Shark' is a song that sees Krooked Tongue tackle something slightly different but that they still know exactly who they are. I think this single simultaneously will bring in many new fans while also appealing to people like me who have been around for a long time. This one strengthens the feeling that upcoming album 'I Know A Place' is going to have a diverse range of sounds within and all of them great. Alongside the release of this single Krooked Tongue have also announced that they will be making their first trip to America for New York City's New Colossus showcase festival, playing across Manhattan's Lower East Side. So any American friends reading this this is your chance to catch these guys live.
