In Vertigo @ Attic, Glasgow

In Vertigo's headline show at the sweatbox that is the Garage Attic saw fans and friends of all bands pack the place out.

Impressive up and coming act In Vertigo completely took over the stage at Attic with support from TTLS, Angel Eyes and Ruby Cherry.

Opening the night was the highly energetic and uplifting energy of TTLS. This was a band I've never even heard of in all honesty but am so glad I found. Whether on stage or off it these guys know exactly how to get a crowd moving. With one member spending the full set moving back and forth across the front of the stage down in the crowd with all of us enjoying his time just as much as everyone else. The bright energy these guys bring to a room is complemented by the massive Scottish sing-a-long tracks they have, even having no idea who they were I struggled not to want to get involved and sing-a-long too.

The second act of the night much like all of the supports was a band I've never listened to before. Angel Eyes from Ayrshire seem to combine an alt-rock energy with pop sounds and this set was more than well received as everyone from the front to the back boogied along. A definite stand out moment from their set for me was a cover of a well loved Paramore track that got the room screaming along the words.

Ruby Cherry were the next act on and this guys especially caught my attention, with a set that included a few well known covers and original tracks that were equally as fun to watch. Sitting somewhere between punk and rock with a sprinkling of pop I strongly recommend everyone to get to a Ruby Cherry show.

The whole set had me hooked but a particular favourite moment for me was when a couple of the members swapped instruments allowing us to hear a new vocal and this swapped song really showed off the writing talents of these guys and how they translate that in a live setting. I don't think I can talk about these guys without mentioning the stunning vocal harmonies they pull off together and the amazing chemistry they have. One of those bands you look at and they just make sense.

Finally it was time for headliners In Vertigo. Now this is a band I have seen before when they supported Dopamine in Slay last year but honestly nothing compares to a headline set by them as I learned.

They had the room bouncing front to back from start to finish. Between the stunning vocal, chuggy riffs and large drum beats, In Vertigo manage to combine a dark atmosphere with highly addictive melodies and hard-hitting lyrics. These guys are easily one of the more exciting up and coming bands at the minute that we have here in Glasgow and I count myself lucky that I'm getting to see them conquer these smaller venues because I have no doubt that they'll keep growing to bigger and bigger stages. As always with Attic it may have been a pretty packed sweaty night but that didn't stop the crowd from showing up and giving their all for bands that were filling the stage massive energies, that led to everyone having what I think was one of the most fun nights in a while and definitely a great start to gigs for 2026.
