Fountain Island - You Win
Pop-Punk trio Fountain Island drop new single 'You Win'.
Fountain Island have released their second single 'You Win' from upcoming EP 'Motor Hotel'. The Kent trio have been making waves in the underground UK Pop-Punk scene since their beginning back in 2020. Originally formed by vocalist Alex Porro the group take their name from what All American Rejects singer Tyson Ritter dreamt heaven would be called. Now jump forward a few years and the act have become known for their summer sprinkled tunes and their combination of early 00's Pop-Punk influences with more modern Emo/Pop-Punk Revival stuff of the 2020's thrown in for good measure. The new single from the trio embodies everything that is Fountain Island, the track is bright and packed with that sun soaked feel while it tells a story of a love affair and how destiny always wins. I think this single shows an evolution in the bands sound while still being completely true to their signature. It's easily comparable to artists like Waterparks with the pop vocal that has a little edge to it over bright and energetic yet simple feeling melodies that hint to most of the Pop-Punk genre. This is probably my favourite release to date from Fountain Island and it definitely had me bopping along.
