South Wales emo quartet Failstate have unleashed their newest single 'No Reflections'.

Failstate explore the weight of dopamine dependency and the quiet chaos of everyday life in their new single 'No Reflections'. The South Wales based 'emo-gaze' band have been making a name for themselves in the scene with their emotive lyricism, shoegaze textures and ever-growing musical maturity. As well as releasing their anthemic new single, the four-piece recently played for the first time at 2000 Trees Festival.
New single 'No Reflections' leans further into the bands 'emo-gaze' identity with it's evolved modern sound and emotive lyricism.
"The song is about using our vices to avoid confronting uncomfortable feelings. There's a helpless compulsion in choosing to suppress complex emotions in favour of simpler ones. It's a different kind of sadness - one where we find some sick satisfaction in wallowing. The track wrestles with this contradiction, and the fear of what might remain if we let go of it." - (Failstate)
Failstate deliver a fresh new take on the emo genre with their music and 'No Reflections' is no different. With huge guitar riffs to first grab your attention which are soon joined by the massive vocal this single made it clear to me why these guys are becoming so popular in the UK emo scene. Strongly emotive but with just enough bite to make it stand out 'No Reflections' is not only another great emo track but one that stands on it's own as something unique. Failstate are definitely a band that you should be checking out.
