Deadfire - Enemy

Aberdeen's Deadfire release their only single of this year, and the blazing 'Enemy' is easily one of their strongest hard rock tracks to date.

On the 1st of November, Aberdeen rockers Deadfire saw their newest single 'Enemy' released on a global scale, and the track is more than catchy. These guys may have been delivering fiery hard rock for almost a decade but they're showing no signs of slowing down, if anything Deadfire just keep getting better and better. With previous singles like the popular 'Anxiety Society' and 'Pro[Pain]' the band began to really gain the attention of many rock fans. Alongside, their extensive touring the four-piece now have a healthy following and many people (me included) were excited to hear that we were getting a new release this month. This new single packs a punch, it's raging riffs and compelling melodies make 'Enemy' in my opinion Deadfire's best song to date. With a lot of songs it's easy to pick up on influences from other artists but Deadfire have reached a point in their discography where Deadfire sound like fiery and energetic Deadfire. 'Enemy' begs to get stuck in your head, from the punchy verses to the incredibly spirited chorus. The track which is written from the perspective of a soldier that's thrust into a war they don't want to be in, deserves to be added to your hard rock playlists.
