Bowling For Soup deliver their own take of Sum 41's 2000's smash hit 'In Too Deep'.

Bowling For Soup release their next instalment from their Pop Punk covers with Sum 41's 'In Too Deep'. Born from a genuine friendship between the two bands that has spanned over 25 years. Bowling For Soup have been tackling hits from the 2000's era and 'In Too Deep' honestly just makes sense for them to have done. This reimagined track follows on from their cover of Simple Plans 'I'm Just A Kid'.
"We met Sum 41 in 2000 when our bands toured with Catch 22. We instantly hit it off talking about Metal and drinking copious amounts of, well, everything. Oh, and listening to the cassette with 1000 farts they bought at a truck stop. You could tell watching them that they are special. Those things were about to blow up for them. And by the end of the tour, even the crowds knew it. We have managed to stay friends with the guys for 25 plus years. It is an honor to be able to add them to this collection of Pop Punk covers we are doing. And what a freakin 'banger it is!!" - (Jaret Reddick, Guitar & Vocals, Bowling For Soup)
There's few things as exciting as giants covering giants and Bowling For Soup do 'In Too Deep' justice taking it a little into their sound but leaving it enough like the original. In my opinion this was a really fun release to come out just as the sun has come out over here in Scotland as 'In Too Deep' and Bowling For Soup were always anthems to my summers as a teen. I'm really enjoying the way the three piece are bringing songs back from the past and right back into our ears. Bowling For Soup will also be coming back to the UK this summer with Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, and recently announced they will also be joined by American Hi-Fi. There's a bunch of UK dates but for my fellow Scots you might want to move fast as the Glasgow show is sitting on a low ticket warning!
