New video for 'You'd Be Paranoid Too' from Waterparks is colourful and fun much like the song while still containing some pretty powerful moments lyrically.
Waterparks new video for 'You'd Be Paranoid Too (If Everyone Was Out To Get You)' gives us a colourful adventure and also includes a couple of familiar faces. This video is a real treat and is very similar style to the ones we have seen so far for the singles that are taken from 'Greatest Hits', (Snow Globe, Numb). The band seem to be experimenting with this circling camera effect that is really working well for these songs. It almost in my opinion gives this fish bowl type experience, as if we're watching the band but not really seeing them as something real that we can connect to. 'You'd Be Paranoid Too' lyrically has to be my favourite from 'Greatest Hits' so far. This song really feels like singer Awsten Knight is giving everyone a glimpse into his mental health but then a lot of the singles we have heard this year have had that kind of feeling to them. 'You'd Be Paranoid Too' even includes the lyric "Had to have a Britney moment, and I cut it off" which seems to be referencing the Instagram livestream that many fans (including myself) will remember when Knight decided to cut his hair off, which resulted in a social media frenzy as many people questioned what was going on. Waterparks 'Greatest Hits' album will be released on the 21st of May 2021.
