'Artificial Icons' sees Defects unleash raw fury on a world ruled by deception and control. The metalcore act continue to make their way into their new era complete with new lineup and powerful new songs.

Almost boiling over with raw feelings of rage 'Artificial Icons' is constantly pushing and pulling between chaos and clarity, moving between savage screams and anthemic vocals with little room for anything else in between.

Thundering into life with a power that lets you know what you're in for from the start. 'Artificial Icons' is a force to be reckoned with combining metalcore sounds with a harsher metal ferocity. The raw sounds of the verses will capture your attention first making it impossible to turn the track off and then before long you will be met by the soaring anthemic nature of the chorus which pulls in the chaos for a moment before completely letting it all out again. I'm lucky to have been listening to Defects for a little while now and if they're not on your radar yet then I'm pretty sure 'Artificial Icons' will be the song to put them there.
